COME TO THE BALINT SUMMER WEEKEND WORKSHOP at WHALLEY ABBEY, LANCS. JUNE 13th to 15th 2008
A residential weekend based at the peaceful & comfortable conference house on the banks of the River Calder in the grounds of the ruined abbey (see www.whalleyabbey.co.uk).
Time will be spent in case discussion groups in which doctors, counsellors, practice nurses etc. can share and explore their feelings about their patients in the safety of small groups.
There will be Saturday afternoon free to give you time to explore locally, eg the abbey ruins, gardens, riverside path & village or to visit the market town of Clitheroe with its castle, or Pendle Hill with its Quaker & witchcraft connections.
Whalley has a railway station and is only 20 minutes from the motorway network.
Price including good food & comfortable quiet en-suite accommodation from Friday night to Sunday lunch: £185 full fee or £165 for VTS registrars, primary care nurses, counsellors, and members of the Balint Society.
